Once you’ve finally accepted that your invitation might not arrive in time for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, it’s time start planning your royal wedding at-home watch party. You can find all the Meghan & Harry swag and decorations you need here, and don't forget to stock up on the royal wedding ice cream flavor to feed your guests. But what about beverages? Harney & Sons and Trader Joe's have you covered. The companies just released a royal wedding tea and soda, respectively, and they're the perfect thing to sip as Meghan Markle makes her way down the aisle.
Harney & Sons revived its royal wedding tea, according to Real Simple, just in time for the big day on May 19. While weddings usually call for celebratory champagne, a soothing cup of tea is totally British and much more suited for the 7 a.m. EST start time of the nuptials. What exactly makes this tea royal worthy, you ask? It’s a luxurious blend of Chinese Mutan White tea buds, pink rosebuds, and marigold petals with hints of almond, coconut, and vanilla for a perfect floral and sweet flavor. Buy it for $20 on Amazon here.
As the royal wedding will go on until about noon EST, feel free to exchange the tea for a frizzy beverage as the day wears on. Luckily, Trader Joe’s just released a new sparkling drink with a royal wedding twist. Is there anything TJ's can't do? The store introduced two new "Springy Sodas," and one shares its flavor with the royal wedding cake. You can sip on the Lemon Elderflower soda and pretend you are right at Windsor Castle as Meghan and Harry cut into their lemon and elderflower cake with buttercream frosting.
You can pick up a four-pack of the Lemon Elderflower soda for $3.49 at Trader Joe's stores. Better stock up! You don't want thirsty guests.
