Whoever said fairytales weren't real? One is happening right before our very eyes! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding finally arrived, and this union is straight out of a storybook.
On November 27, 2017, Kensington Palace announced the engagement between His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle, as the latter debuted her now-iconic three-stone engagement ring—but that wasn't quite the beginning of this tale. We've been following this love story since news of the relationship broke in October 2016. A year later, the pair made a public joint appearance at the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto, and Meghan made it official in an interview with Vanity Fair, where the former actress said that she was "really happy and in love" with the prince. "Personally, I love a great love story," she said. So do we, Meghan. So do we.
May 19 has finally arrived and it couldn't have come sooner. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were wed at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, a venue that's also hosted the nuptials of Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, and Peter Phillips and Autumn Phillips. Following their I dos, the newlyweds embarked on a carriage ride through the streets of Windsor, before celebrating at a luncheon hosted by Queen Elizabeth II and an evening reception thrown by the groom's father, Prince Charles.
After months of speculation, the mystery of who designed the royal bride's wedding dress was finally solved (Givenchy), we learned what celebrities made the guest list (Serena Williams and the Beckhams), and we saw Meghan Markle walk down the aisle herself (#feminist goals).
