Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham may have already been engaged for two years, but don't start listening for wedding bells just yet. According to Huntington-Whiteley, they are in no hurry to tie the knot any time soon.
In a new interview with Extra, the model and actress discussed the fact that they had no immediate plans to get married. In fact, they revealed, making it official in the eyes of the law isn't a "huge priority" for them at the moment.
“I think the time will come,” Huntington-Whiteley said, per People. “We’ve been so focused on our work for so long and Jack came along, we definitely talk about. We’re looking forward to that time.”
“It’s also not a huge priority for us, we’re so happy,” she added.
The couple welcomed their first child together, Jack Oscar, in 2017, and are now thinking about waiting to tie the knot until he's a bit older. “I think it will be fun to do it when the baby’s grown up a bit and he can be involved in the wedding,” she said.
This seems to definitively answer the question of whether she and Statham are already secretly married, a rumor that began flying around last year when fans thought they spotted a wedding ring on her finger.
The couple met in 2010 on the set of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and Statham has previously joked that they enjoy spending their free time together "[getting] drunk and [floating] around the swimming pool" (same). The action superstar popped the question in 2016 with a rose gold ring from Neil Lane, which Huntington-Whiteley showed off for the first time on the Golden Globes red carpet. "Jason wanted something perfect and flawless and he kept coming back to this one," Lane said of the sparkler at the time. "He knew it was right."
