Football player Robert Griffin III may by a free agent in the NFL, but not in love! The quarterback married his love Grete Šadeiko over the weekend in Miami.
“First name Grete, Last name Griffin. All I ever wanted to be for you is your hero. It turns out that all along, you were mine. #ItsGriffinTime #Wife #Love #Real#Happiness #Views,” he captioned one of their wedding photos on Instagram showing off just how grand their wedding day was.
The reception, held at the W South Beach, was draped with crystals and illuminated by purple lights to match the couples wedding colors, and white roses galore. The room was almost as sexy as the bride and groom’s wedding day looks.
Šadeiko wore a white lace Berta wedding dress with a plunging neckline with a removable tulle skirt for the ceremony—and took it off for their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.” The look was completed with a chapel length veil and earrings from John Damico. GRIII wore a blue suit with a bow tie and silver Christian Louboutins.
The blue and white theme was a continuation from from their rehearsal dinner where the groom to be wore a plaid blue suit and his fiancé had on a very bridal white maxi dress.
Griffin proposed to his heptathlete wife—which basically means she is a track & field superstar—back in May, and fans have watched their love flourish on Instagram ever since. In the midst of wedding planning the two welcomed their first child together, Gloria Griffin, in July. Griffin also has a daughter, Reese Ann, 2, whom he shares with his first wife, Rebecca Liddicoat.
It’s safe to say this couple had a lot to celebrate so it’s no surprise they went out with a bang. In addition to their extravagant decor, according to PEOPLE, the night was complete with an extravagant four-tiered wedding cake decorated with white and pink sugar paste cascading roses.
If you think that was the cherry on top, think again. Their big day was planned with the help of Tiffany Cook Events, who took the traditional photo booth up several notches with a specialty lightbox where the couple got to create their very own wedding music video to Drake’s “God’s Plan.”
Talk about a crowd pleaser. Here’s to hoping these two build a life as grand as their wedding day!
