If you've been keeping an eye on Rivini by Rita Vinieris' collections the past few seasons, then you know that she doesn't shy away from what's modern, glamorous, and most importantly, sexy. Mixing contemporary trends (i.e. sheer layers, 3D florals, and plunging necklines) with timeless standbys (lace, lace, and more lace), Rivini consistently marries the two opposing ideas masterfully. And so when we got a sneak peak for Vinieris' upcoming runway show with two sketches of dresses from her soon-to-be-debuted collection, we weren't surprised to see sultry silhouettes and classic details.
The first sketch of a dramatic mermaid dress shows a pleated tulle skirt, lace appliqués along the sides of the bodice, a body-skimming fit, and romantic cap sleeves. While you may think these details are a bit contradictory, they look like they'll come together perfectly when worn by a model down the runway.

The next sketch is even more wow-worthy, with a tiered skirt immediately catching our eye. The voluminous ball gown is complemented with an embroidered, form-fit bodice that looks like it will have lace and a good dose of beading. With the layers of tulle and organza coming from the side of the dress, we think this look might actually boast a removable over skirt. Only time will tell if this is true when Rita Vinieris' shows her latest bridal collection this Friday.
