Your wedding day is supposed to be the best and most perfect day of your life, right? Not always. When it comes down to it, your wedding day is just another a day in your life, and just like any other of your life, things happen. Good things, bad things, funny things, and—dare I say it—embarrassing things.
Wondering what kind of humiliating moments could happen on the day you say "I do" to loving someone forever and ever? Check out the red-face inducing moments these real brides had at their wedding.
1. I Got My Period
"I got my period the morning of my wedding. I'm anti-Tampons so I had to wear a pad the whole day. I didn't change the pad quick enough so yeah, I bled through my $3,000 dress. My maid-of-honor had to stand in the bathroom with me for 30 minutes trying to get the stain off my dress, while I cried. So awful." —Tara D., 26
2. My Dress Split Open
"I was drunk (as all good stories start) and breaking it down on the dance floor (as all even better stories start) and I decided to do a split, in my dress, in heels. I ended up splitting the dress open in the back around my butt area. I had to change into my rehearsal dinner dress for the last hour of the wedding." —Maggie P., 25
3. I Drank Way Too Much
"I had one too many shots of celebratory tequila that I blacked out. I don't remember the last two hours of the wedding or the after-party. People keep texting me funny stories from that night and I'm so embarrassed because I don't remember any of it. I got too wild at my own open bar." —Leslie P., 27
4. I Accused Someone of Stealing
"My cardbox with all the envelopes and wedding cash and checks went missing! I literally flipped out. I accused my wedding planner of stealing it and threatened to call the cops on her if she didn't find it. She was in tears. An hour later, a family member of mine told me they moved the box to my hotel room so that nothing would be stolen! I felt so bad that I made a scene and accused the wedding planner." —Laura T., 34
5. I Said the Wrong Name
"I was flustered with nerves at the ceremony. The rabbi asked me to repeat after him and I said the wrong name. My husband is Mark and I said Matt, just out of nerves. Thankfully I never had an ex-boyfriend named Matt!" —Erin S., 32
6. I Couldn't Fit in My Dress
"Every bride's nightmare—not fitting in their dress. That nightmare happened to me. I wore double Spanx and still couldn't get the dress closed. Finally, my aunt was able to zip it shut and I felt suffocated the entire night. It was awful." —Marissa G., 29
