It’s no wonder Queer Eye star Karamo Brown already has the date and location of his wedding day selected: He started planning his dream event when he was a kid.
“I started planning my wedding when I was nine years old,” the Netflix show’s culture expert told Us Weekly at a charity event on Tuesday night. “I’m the guy that literally had a booklet that I would secretly stash in my locker as I was coming off from football practice that [was] like, ‘This is what my wedding’s going to be like.' I’ve already been in pre-pre-planning mode.”
Brown proposed to his fiancé, Ian Jordan, in May of this year after eight years together. He popped the question at HYDE nightclub in Los Angeles, and added another level of happy surprise by flying Jordan’s family to L.A. celebrate the milestone with them.
"I hope we can conquer the world together for the rest of our lives. Ian Lamont Jordan, will you marry me?" Brown reportedly asked while popping the question, tears streaming down the face.
"Tonight, with the help of my sons, I asked the love of my life to marry me and he said YESSSS!" he later said of the proposal on Instagram. "He is my today, tomorrow and everything!"
The rest of the Fab Five—Bobby Berk, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, and Jonathan Van Ness—were all in attendance at the proposal, which means fans can likely expect a mini Queer Eye reunion on their bestie Karamo Brown’s big day.
Clearly, Brown is a planning pro when it comes to proposals. In a season two episode of Queer Eye, Brown and the crew assisted a man in popping the question to his love. And recently, the group teamed up with Brides to help another groom-to-be nail his proposal to his girlfriend. Check out the video below!
