A very cute royal blunder

We are always grateful for a new photo of the royals, even when it happens on accident!

During a painting unveiling—celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Royal Air Force—photographers captured more than just Queen Elizabeth II’s reaction. In the background of the photo another framed image can (kind of) be seen featuring QEII's great-grandchildren on a small table behind her. It clearly skipped the Queen’s mind to put it away before her guests arrived at Windsor Castle, but we’re so appreciative of the royal blunder.

According to Cosmopolitan, the photo shows Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip with Princess Charlotte, Prince George, Isla Phillips, Savannah Phillips, and Mia Tindall. The reportedly never-before-seen photo seems to be a few years old as it features a baby Charlotte on the queen’s lap, George nestled in between his grandparents and no sign of Prince Louis.

The Queen will have to update her photo soon to incorporate the family’s latest little blessings: Louis and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s soon-to-be baby. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child together sometime in the spring.

While you wait for those beautiful baby pics, you can admire the most recent family portrait. In honor of Prince Charles's 70th birthday last month, Kensington Palace posted a new shot of the fam on Instagram. The image features Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, seated with George and Charlotte. Kate Middleton and baby Louis, Prince William, Harry, and Meghan are all standing behind them.

When all your family photos look this good, we're not surprised Queen Elizabeth "accidentally" leaked one.
