Priyanka Chopra's bridal shower may already be over, but we're still living vicariously through the gorgeous shots of the bride-to-be at her lavish soirée. On Monday, Chopra, 36, shared more photos from her A-lister bridal shower held at Tiffany & Co.'s Blue Box Cafe in New York City over the weekend—and if you didn't have FOMO before, you will now.
"Love, laughter and a room full of amazing ladies...and some special gentlemen (what a special surprise)! Thank you so much @mubinarattonsey and @anjula_acharia for throwing me such a memorable bridal shower that broke all the rules!" Chopra wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a series of photos—including a goofy pic of her playing around with her desserts—from the party. "My amazing friends and family who made me feel so special and loved, thank you. And to top it off @tiffanyandco 😍 Perfect!
Here’s sharing it with you..."
For the lavish affair, the bride-to-be stunned in a Marchesa dress and complemented her look with over $1 million of Tiffany diamond jewelry, according to a press release. The actress's A-list guests, including Lupita Nyong’o and Kelly Ripa, sipped on cocktails and dishes like Tiffany petit fours shaped like the iconic blue box. Chopra also shared videos to her Instagram story of her guests dancing to Whitney Houston tunes in celebration of the bride-to-be.
“I’ve always had a romantic fascination with Tiffany since I was a kid,” Chopra told People on Monday night. “It’s just so chic and classy and timeless. So somewhere I’d mentioned it to Nick that I wanted my ring to be a Tiffany ring and I think he remembered, and hence the ring and the relationship with Tiffany. It does play a very special role.”
Following her magical bridal shower, Chopra stayed in the Big Apple to help promote the launch of Bumble India at the Gramercy Park Hotel Rooftop. The actress gave a speech during the evening, and spoke to the women about what they should look for in a partner—hinting at the amazing relationship she has with Nick Jonas.
“Truly this is what worked for me, he has to be someone who respects you,” Chopra said. “By that, I don’t mean makes coffee for you, not that. But someone who respects the hard work you put into your life.”
“Who respects that if his work is important, so is yours,” she continued. “Or if he makes choices that are important to him, so is your opinion. That’s respect, and that’s incredible to have.”
"Then everything is so easy because you give each other credit for your intelligence, you give each other the benefit of the doubt because you trust each other. There’s so much that comes out of that. I think don’t settle for less than that.”
