So. Many. Zeros

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had not one, but two wedding ceremonies back in December that stretched out over three days, and while it was an epic celebration, to be sure, the Quantico alum now admits they got a wee bit more than they bargained for in the bill department.

Chopra, 36, told journalist Tina Brown at the Women in the World Summit on Thursday, April 11, that the time crunch involved with planning her nuptials to the “Jealous” singer, 26, played a large part in their overspending.

“It all happened so fast,” she said. “We decided to prep this wedding in October and we got married [the] 1st of December, and in that one and half months we were just like, ‘Yeah, that sounds great!’ ‘Sure, let’s get that!’ ”

By the time they stopped to think about what they were spending, the damage was complete. “[We] did not realize it till it was done,” the actor confessed. “And saw videos, and then got the bill. We were like, ‘Ohhhhh, cool, cool, cool. Maybe we should have prepped this a little bit more.’ ”

Chopra concluded: “So, that’s why it was that glorious!"

She wasn't the only one feeling the purse strings tightening: Her spouse revealed during his "Carpool Karaoke" segment with James Corden in March that looking at the receipts from their weddings—not to mention their *five subsequent receptions—had him sweating.

"Was there a point, during your many weddings, that you thought, 'I'm done with these weddings,' " the late night talk show host, 40, asked the musician, who was hooked up to a lie detector test. "Yes," he replied, adding with a laugh, "It was when I looked at the bill."

The lavish festivities are estimated to have cost the twosome upwards of $500,000 big ones: Their Christian wedding venue, Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, was reportedly $92,000 per night alone, with the catering ringing in around $61K.

Factor in the actress’s hand-embroidered Ralph Lauren gown, which featured 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins and took 1,826 hours to stitch, plus her traditional Hindu dress from Indian designer Sabyasachi, which took 110 seamstresses roughly 3,720 hours to make; their travel arrangements; their 18-foot wedding cake; flowers; and the like; and you’ve got one—er, make that two!—pricey fetes.

The pair also went big in the reception department, hosting parties in North Carolina, Jodhpur, and New Delhi, plus two in Mumbai.

Luckily, the Isn’t it Romantic star isn't planning to do it again anytime soon, joking, “Hopefully that will be the only one!”
