Things are finally looking up for Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas in the honeymoon department! After their fabulous Indian wedding, the couple reportedly had no time for a traditional honeymoon. But now it looks like they are squeezing in some time for a minimoon.
Chopra took to Instagram to show off her and Jonas’s newlywed glow with a selfie of themselves lying on a terrace, with her Tiffany & Co. engagement ring on full display. “Marital bliss they say,” Chopra captioned the photo alongside a heart eyes, heart, and lips emojis.
The couple picked the coastal country of Oman for their quick trip, according to People, and looked very relaxed—see the cigar in Jonas’s hand—in their warm destination. (The couple made an appearance at another wedding in India just days ago, so it makes sense that they are still in the area.) Chopra also posted to Instagram Stories revealing more of their tropical trip; she snapped a picture on the beach of their new initials—NJ and PCJ—written in the sand, according to Cosmopolitan.
We expect that this little jaunt is just a precursor to a longer, more extravagant—and hopefully heavily documented—honeymoon. During the couple’s first public appearance at the India launch of Bumble in New Delhi, the couple revealed they currently do not have anything planned.
"I have no idea," Chopra told India's NDTV. "Right now, I have just work commitments this whole month...and I don’t know. We still haven’t figured out where. I think it’s going to be a surprise though. I think that’s what my husband’s planning."
While we’re sure the actress is on the edge of her seat dreaming about what far flung destination her husband will take her to next, she’s totally content setting her own unapologetic rules for marriage.
"I would just tell brides out there, whatever your priority is, is right. It doesn’t matter if your priority is work, that’s right," Chopra said. "If your priority is honeymoon, that’s right. If your priority is doing nothing, that’s right too. Because as newlyweds, it’s really your turn. You get to do whatever you want. And with us, these are the choices we took that work for us."
