Priyanka Chopra Claps Back at Fans Who Think She Overshared Her Wedding

With a wedding as extravagant as hers, wouldn't you want to take a few pics?

We won’t even ask: We KNOW you remember Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s wedding. The two had a whirlwind romance last year where they got engaged after two months of dating, and got married just five months later. They went all out with a three-day wedding in India followed by so many receptions we (and the groom) lost count.

In all of the festivities, Chopra shared her special moments on social media (like many brides do) but some have criticized her for oversharing—and she’s (rightfully) not here for it.

“If I wasn't a famous person and I'd just got married, don't you think my Insta would have photos of me and my husband?” Chopra said in a recent Sunday Times article, per the Daily Mail.

The answer is definitely, probably, yes. Every time you go on Instagram or are brave enough to scroll Facebook, someone you know is posting about their engagement, wedding, or new baby. Whether you care to see it or not is a different story, but posting about your milestones is commonplace in the digital age. And sometimes celebrities like to get in on the fun too.

“Just because I'm famous, don't I have the ability to be proud of being a newlywed without people saying that I'm using my marriage?” she continued. “I gave up my right to privacy when I became a public person, it's the deal you make with the devil. But trust me, there are lots of things I still keep personal.”

We’d love to know what Chopra isn’t telling us, because she sure shares a lot of juicy details about her relationship. Earlier this year she revealed on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live that when she and Jonas are apart they resort to sexting to keep the romance alive. When host Andy Cohen asked her if she "believed in sexting or FaceTime sex during long stints apart?" Chopra quickly replied, "For sure."

Keep doing you, Pri!
