If you're all caught up in the wedding mania between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, then mark your calendars for the next widely anticipated royal wedding of the year—Princess Eugenie's October 12 nuptials! The royal-bride-to-be (and Prince Harry's cousin) is set to marry boyfriend Jack Brooksbank at St. George's Chapel. While we're already equally excited for the second royal wedding of 2018, Princess Eugenie took to Instagram today to share a little wedding planning inspiration.
The 27-year-old made history just last week as the first young royal to hop on the Instagram bandwagon (maybe this means Markle will reactivate hers!?), and she seems to be loving her personal account on the social media platform. Eugenie launched her profile on International Women's Day, writing in her first post that she plans to use the account "to share the causes, passions and people close to my heart." Since then, the princess has shared a total of six pictures, including an incredibly adorable childhood photo of the future bride acting as a bridesmaid.
As per British royal wedding traditions, the bridal party consists of young bridesmaids, usually between the ages of 10 and 12. In her Instagram photo, Princess Eugenie has this role down pat, sporting a very '90s white gown with puffy sleeves and a ruffled hem. Her older sister, Princess Beatrice, stands behind her in a matching gown, with both wearing matching flower headbands. "90s throwback...wedding planning starts!!" she captioned the photo.
Mirror reports that this photo dates back to 1993, when the princesses served in the bridal party for their nanny, Alison Wardley, at her wedding. Prince George and Princess Charlotte will most likely follow in their royal relative's footsteps, acting as page boy and flower girl, respectively, during Harry and Markle's wedding.
While this Instagram photo proves Eugenie and Brooksbank's planning is officially underway, the pair has yet to release any new information to the public. The betrothed couple has plenty of time to prep for their fall nuptials, but they've remained much more private compared to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. So far, we have a hunch about what tiara Eugenie might wear down the aisle and which of her A-list besties might make the guest list cut.
Here's hoping Princess Eugenie shares more wedding planning snippets on her newfound Instagram account, and that more members of the royal family will join her on social media (we're looking at you, Queen Elizabeth).
