While the world waits on high alert for the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's baby, the rest of the royal family is going about their business as usual. Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Queen Elizabeth II have all been out and about at public engagements. Princess Charlotte turned four—and we got some adorable new photos taken by her mom. And Princess Eugenie shared her first selfie on Instagram.
She is one of the few royals to have a personal social media account and she used it to wish her husband, Jack Brooksbank, a happy 33rd birthday. "Happy Birthday to you, my one and only Jack," Princess Eugenie sweetly wrote in the caption. "You are one of a kind and totally extraordinary. Nine birthdays and counting...to quote you from a few months ago 'you light up my life' 🎂🎈🎉🎊 #birthday"
The couple famously married in St. George's Chapel in Windsor, the site of Markle and Harry's wedding last year in October, where Eugenie wore a stunning Peter Pilotto dress that showed off a scar from her scoliosis surgery. The princess said in a BBC interview that it was "love at first sight" when she met Brooksbank, though the two had dated for years before finally tying the knot.
Here's hoping the couple has a lovely weekend of celebrating Brooksbank's birthday. Perhaps they'll stay in with pizza, as they did the night before their honeymoon. Or perhaps a casual weekend in the British countryside?
Happy Birthday to Jack—and Eugenie, keep the sweet selfies coming.
