With Princess Eugenie's wedding inching closer and closer, clues are also slowly emerging as to what dress she might wear on her big day. While Eugenie has said that she plans on keeping the name of her wedding dress designer a secret until her nuptials, she did post a photo on Instagram this week that might shed some light on the mystery. As The Daily Mail points out, the image in question is from a 2016 Harper’s Bazaar shoot featuring Eugenie in a gorgeous lace gown by Alberta Ferretti.
The caption, which reads, "#tbt to some serious daydreaming going on here. Pre-wedding vibes!" suggests that Eugenie might be aiming for a similar look come October 12, when she's set to marry longtime love Jack Brooksbank at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, which just so happens to be the same place where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in May.
While Eugenie may be daydreaming about that Alberta Ferretti gown, if she does wear a similar style for her walk down the aisle, it won't come courtesy of the Italian designer. We know this because Eugenie confirmed to British Vogue earlier this year that she planned on tapping a U.K.-based designer to craft her gown. "As soon as we announced the wedding, I knew the designer, and the look, straight away," she said at the time.
Whatever style and designer Princess Eugenie does ultimately choose for her big day, expect the whole look to be very fashion-forward. In the past, she's been spotted wearing a who's who of the world's biggest designers, including everyone from Vivienne Westwood to Maggy London, Marie Claire reports. Plus, following the dynamic one-two punch of Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen dress and Meghan Markle’s already-iconic Givenchy gown, Eugenie has likely made it a top priority to live up to those lofty expectations.
