Check your mailboxes! The invitations for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's October royal wedding at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle have reportedly gone out. And like the royal wedding invitations that have been sent before them, they're unsurprisingly regal.
On Sunday, the Daily Mail stated that the bride and groom have sent out their nearly 850 wedding invitations, which reportedly went to recipients like George and Amal Clooney, Victoria Beckham, and Ellie Goulding. Vanity Fair published a first look at the wedding invites (see them here!), and they feature swirling black calligraphy on off-white card stock. "His Royal Highness The Duke of York, KG and Sarah, Duchess of York request the pleasure of the company of,” the invite reads, leaving a space for the invited guest’s name, “at the Marriage of their daughter Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie of York with Mr. Jack Brooksbank at St.
George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on Friday 12th October, 2018 at 11 a.m. followed by a Reception at Windsor Castle.”
In addition to the rumored 850 A-list guests who scored those gorgeous, cream-colored invites, a whopping 1,200 members of the public will be chosen by lottery to witness the processional and recessional of the newlyweds from the castle grounds.
With a guest list a mile long, a source from the palace reports that the couple is slightly worried that everyone won't fit in the space. After all, this is one of the biggest weddings ever to take place in St. George's Chapel and they apparently have invited 200 more guests than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did for their May 19 royal wedding. “The couple is hoping that not everyone who has been invited will accept, because there will be a space issue, and we might have to have some people standing,” said the source.
In our opinion though, you'd have to be crazy to RSVP "no" to this wedding!
