While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are home snuggling their newborn son, Prince William and Kate Middleton were out and about at an official engagement where they were very excited to talk about the new royal baby, aka their nephew!
"[We're] absolutely thrilled, absolutely thrilled, and looking forward to seeing him in the next few days when he's quietened down," William told reporters. "I'm very pleased to welcome my own brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting!" Of course, William and Kate are already the proud parents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
"I wish him all the best," he continued. "I hope in the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in their family and all the joys that come with that."
Middleton then confirmed that even they don't know the baby's name. "We look forward to meeting him, and finding out what his name is going to be," she said. "So it's really exciting for both of them. And I'm wishing them the best in these next few weeks. It's always a bit daunting the first time around."
The Duchess of Cambridge also added that this is a great time of year to have a baby, noting that two of her own children just celebrated their own birthdays. "It's such a special time, and with Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays, it's such a great time of the year to have a baby," she said. "Spring is in the air and everything, so it's pretty great."
Baby Sussex was born in the early morning hours on Monday, May 6, and the world let out a collectively happy sigh. While we likely won't see Markle and the baby until Wednesday at the earliest, Harry did pop out to give an update on the "to die for" little guy and sing the praises of his wife.
