The royal wedding may be over, but that doesn't mean we'll be done talking about it anytime soon. That's right—you're going to be hearing adorable stories about Meghan and Harry for the foreseeable future. This week's topic: the way Prince Harry looks at Meghan Markle. We all saw (and swooned over) his lip-bite at the altar, but that's nothing compared with the sweet speech he reportedly gave at the lunch reception. According to a new report from Us Weekly, the duke of Sussex's royal wedding remarks were all about praising his new wife.
“He said Meghan has handled things with grace and dignity,” a source told Us Weekly. “[He said] that he can’t wait for them to be a team.” Prince Harry wasn't finished there. According to Us Weekly's source, he also snuck in a shout-out to Markle's mother, Doria Ragland. “He said Doria was one in a million,” the source told Us Weekly. As if that weren't cute enough, the newly minted duke also reportedly got cheers every time he referred to the duchess of Sussex as "my wife."
But it wasn't just sugar and spice. As previously reported by People, he went rogue and made plenty of snarky jokes. “It was very off-the-cuff, which was lovely,” said People's source. “He promised that all the Americans wouldn’t steal the swords and said, ‘Please, when you leave, be quiet as you don’t want to wake the neighbors,’ which was quite fun.”
But Prince Harry is nothing if not a gentleman, and he ultimately kept things gracious and focused on his blushing bride. "He did all the 'Thank Yous,'" said the guest, adding, "It was more than you would ever imagine it to be. It did feel like we were really part of their very special occasion. It just felt about the two of them, which was great.”
