It's official! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are definitely getting married—well, almost definitely anyway. While Harry has yet to pop the question to the Suits actress (as far as we know), he has already reportedly consulted with another very important lady in his life: grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
"The way it’s going, the engagement will probably happen this year," a source told Star magazine, according to both publications. "Harry has got approval from the queen to propose to Meghan. He’s already had those conversations with Her Majesty. An engagement is imminent."
With the way things have been going between the prince and the actress, who have been dating since last summer and officially confirmed their relationship in November, this news isn't exactly surprising. In addition to their making public appearances and attending weddings together, Markle is reportedly set to move into Harry's Kensington Palace apartment. Plus, Us Weekly reported in March that the couple would be engaged by the end of the summer; this update about the queen's approval of their union seems to fit with that timeline.
And just a few days ago, a spokesperson for Westminster Abbey confirmed that neither Markle's previous divorce nor her Jewish faith would hinder any plans for her and Harry to wed in the historic church. So, is it time to start making those royal wedding (and honeymoon) plans yet?
