It might be time to rethink your plans for the royal wedding weekend. While watching Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tie the knot from your couch might have seemed like a great idea last week, anglophiles can now consider a trip to the movies as part of their wedding day experience. Harry and Meghan will be making things official in less than two weeks on May 19, and now stateside well-wishers can watch a presentation of the royal wedding in more than 200 movie theaters across on the country on the big day, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The event, hosted by Fathom Events, will kick off in theaters at 10 a.m. (local time) and will run for three hours and 30 minutes. Though Prince Harry's nuptials are hardly the first royal wedding that will capture international attention, it will be the first one screened in actual movie theaters.
There's plenty to get excited about if you decide to enjoy the ceremony with a crowd of fellow fans of the royals. Not only will Markle's surely gorgeous tiara be larger than life and impossibly sparkly, but viewers will also get a close-up look at the inside of St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, where the actual wedding will be taking place.
Most importantly, you'll finally uncover the mystery of who designed Markle's dress in a cinematic setting—and see every little detail in theater-quality resolution. Don't forget to grab some popcorn, and maybe see if your local concession stand serves any English breakfast tea.
