As the May 19 wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle approaches, companies around the world are cashing in on the royal wedding craze. Commemorative beers are being brewed at this very moment, a Lifetime movie about their love story is currently filming, and now, you can indulge in wedding cookies. Fans of the royal couple can snack on cookies (or as the Brits say, "biscuits") shaped like classic wedding accoutrement, including the bride and groom themselves.
British company Biscuiteers created a royal wedding collection complete with a commemorative tin, per Marie Claire. The $65 limited edition Royal Wedding Luxe Biscuit Tin includes up to 18 vanilla biscuits, according to the company's website, and features the option to add Prosecco or sparkling rosé for 20 pounds or 50 pounds, respectively. "To celebrate the wedding of the year, we’ve created a limited edition tin fit for a royal. Inside our hand-illustrated gift tin you'll find a fanfare of regal-inspired treats: the royal coach, union flags, exquisite heels, a beautiful designer wedding dress, engagement ring, and even a fabulous three-tiered commemorative wedding cake!" the product description reads.
As for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they'll be feasting on a different flavor for their big day. Kensington Palace recently revealed that pastry chef Claire Ptak will create a lemon elderflower cake that will "incorporate the bright flavours of spring." It will be covered with buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers.
Pop open a bottle of Chapel Down champagne (the wedding wine of choice for both Harry and Prince William), and stock up your kitchen accordingly before the big day.
