This is big. As you know, Meghan Markle's 36th birthday was earlier this week — she flew to London to visit Prince Harry in celebration of the big day — and now, it looks like the festivities have continued. She and the hunky royal embarked on a special safari vacation in South Africa, but there's a special twist to the adventurous vacation. Prince William notably proposed to now-wife Kate Middleton in Kenya, so does this mean Harry is taking a few pointers from his bro? It definitely seems like it.
"Harry has been planning this holiday for a long time," a source told The Sun. "He's made the trip incredibly romantic. They'll go on boats across the lake, walk in the bush at dawn and camp under the stars. Who knows what will happen when they're watching a sensational African sunset together? Maybe he'll get down on one knee. Harry regards Africa as his spiritual home and has often talked of how he can get away from it all there."
The source continued, "Obviously he wants to show Meghan what an amazing place it is and create new memories together. Harry's done a lot of conservation work in Africa with endangered elephants and black rhinos, and he'll show them to the woman he wants to marry."
Rumors of an upcoming proposal have been buzzing since the couple attended Pippa Middleton's wedding back in May. Most recently, a source at the Daily Mail reported the royal was planning on popping the question vey, very soon. "I'm told there will be a formal proposal, and it could be as soon as next month," the source revealed.
Another source at E! is also expecting an announcement. "Engagement talk isn't just between the two of them, even some of Harry's closest aides are quietly expecting news before the end of the year," the source told the entertainment source.
