You can't have a movie about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's courtship without Prince William and Kate Middleton. On Thursday, Lifetime announced that Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance had found its onscreen counterparts of the other royal couple.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Burgess Abernethy will play Prince William and Laura Mitchell will play Kate Middleton. Prince William's Lifetime doppelgänger is most-well known for his role as Zane on H20: Just Add Water, a TV series about three girls who become mermaids. As an Australian actor, Burgess will have to do an imitation of Prince William's upper-crust British accent, but looks-wise, he bears a solid resemblance to the Duke of Cambridge, especially when he smiles.
Meanwhile, Mitchell, who's starred in iZombie and Menendez: Blood Brothers, is a Canadian actress, so like Burgess, she will also have to tweak her natural accent to sound more like the Duchess of Cambridge. As far as looks go, however, she could probably have an illustrious career as a professional Kate Middleton impersonator.
Lifetime also debuted a first look at the two young actors who will no doubt be stealing the show as Prince William and Kate Middleton's children. Preston Karwat as Prince George and Briella Weintraub as Princess Charlotte look even more like their real-life counterparts than their fictional parents. With Parisa Fitz-Henley playing a jaw-droppingly on-point Meghan Markle and Murray Fraser looking nearly identical to our favorite ginger prince, this is one spot-on group of fictional royals.
