The new dad took to Instagram on Sunday to share a picture of his newborn son clutching his finger and staring into the camera. "Happy Father’s Day! And wishing a very special first Father’s Day to The Duke of Sussex," the palace captioned the post. In addition to revealing just how much baby Archie looks like his dad (those eyes!), the photo gives fans a good look at Harry's wedding band—a simple and beautifully shiny gold band.
The picture was reminiscent of the shot that Meghan Markle shared in honor of her first Mother's Day last month. "Paying tribute to all mothers today - past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered," the palace wrote alongside a picture of Markle holding baby Archie's teeny tiny feet. "We honor and celebrate each and every one of you."
Prince Harry, it seems, has been loving life as a dad thus far. "This little thing is absolutely to die for. I'm just over the moon," he said shortly after Archie was born in April, and called being a new dad "the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine."
Markle, too, is thrilled with her new role as a mom. “It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy,” she said during an interview last week after the Trooping the Colour, which marked her first public appearance since welcoming Archie into the world.
In other news out of Frogmore Cottage, the royal couple has reportedly hired a nanny to help care for baby Archie. While she is not expected to live with the royal family, she will likely work during the week and accompany them on certain national and international engagements.
