Watch out world: Prince George is growing up! The royal tot will celebrate his fifth birthday tomorrow, and in honor of the big day, Kensington Palace commissioned photographer Matt Porteous to take a portrait of the Prince—and just to warn you, it's the cutest thing you will see all day.
Porteous shared the adorable shot, which was taken in the Clarence House garden, to Instagram today, writing in a caption, "Happy birthday Prince George 'It was a privilege to take this photograph of Prince George, and I am delighted that The Duke and Duchess have chosen to share it. I wish His Royal Highness a very happy fifth birthday.'"
The Palace shared the photo to their Instagram account too, sharing a note from Prince William and Kate Middleton in the caption. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George to mark his fifth birthday – thank you everyone for your lovely messages," the Palace wrote, adding a balloon emoji.
This isn't the photographer's first foray into royal photography: Porteous also captured the surprise candid photo of Prince Louis with mom Kate after his christening, and previously photographed Prince George on his third birthday back in 2016.
The soon-to-be five year old prince wore a short-sleeved white shirt with a peter pan collar and blue piping paired with blue shorts, which is the same outfit he wore for Trooping the Colour this year. Last year, the prince wore a similar blue and white outfit, but went for a striped button-up t-shirt instead of a polo.
Happy birthday, Prince George!
