When it comes to romance we can take inspiration from our favorite novels, movies, TV shows, and even the White House. No one has a busier or more high profile life than President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle and yet they still find time to squeeze in a little romance. They even found the time to write special notes to one another for Valentine's Day because, when it comes down to it, the President of the United States is really just like us...but with the Secret Service.
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, host Ellen DeGeners surprised POTUS with a special Valentine's Day poem from Michelle. "Roses are red, violets are blue, you are the President and I am your boo," Michelle recited. "I wrote that while doing 100 push ups this morning, it gets the creative juices flowing." Brides-to-be take note — this sounds like the perfect way to beat vow-writing writers block and get envy-worthy wedding day arms.

DeGeneres didn't want to leave Michelle hanging so she kindly hooked President Obama up with the perfect romantic backdrop to record his message to Michelle. "Somebody call the Situation Room because things are about to get hot," he begins. "Michelle, this Valentine's Day I'm going to treat you right. I'm going to make you some zucchini bread, and then I'm going to spread veggies on a plate just the way you like them." Homemade zucchini bread?! Sounds delicious, any way you can send some leftovers to the BRIDES office?
His romantic Valentine's Day plans don't stop at zucchini bread and veggies either. "Then I'm going to give you a massage while you watch Ellen's Design Challenge on HGTV," he said plugging DeGeneres' show. "Because I love you so much I Obamacare about you more than you even know. That's right, Obamacares." We love that the President slipped in a little political pun, it perfectly fits his sweet message.
