Kate Middleton isn't letting pregnancy get in the way of her princess duties—or in this case, adventures.
On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge made an official visit to the Jaguar Land Rover’s Birmingham factory alongside Prince William. In a photo posted to Kensington Palace's Twitter account, the royal pair are seen inspecting cars on the assembly line and meeting with factory workers. At the end of the visit, InStyle reports, the princess and her baby bump got behind the wheel of one of the SUV's for a little off-roading.
Middleton, who's expecting her third child, kept a relatively low profile throughout the beginning of her pregnancy due to an "anxious" first trimester. Lately, though, she's been out and about keeping up with her royal duties. Last month, she appeared at a reception for Heads Together, a charity that she, William, and Harry run, in honor of World Mental Health Day, and after her visit to the Jaguar Land Rover factory she reportedly visited the Topcliffe Primary School to meet students who won a challenge for designing a model car.
While the palace hasn't announced an official due date for royal baby #3, they have confirmed that the little prince or princess will be arriving some time in the spring. According to London-based bookmaker William Hill, the odds of the baby being a boy and girl are 50/50, while the chance that Duchess Kate delivers a set of royal twins is quite high, at 33/1.
Duchess Kate has never shied away from an exhilarating activity—she was a hardcore college athlete and an avid skier—so it's no surprise that she was willing to hop into the car for a bit of a thrill. Clearly, this mama-to-be isn't letting anything, including a growing baby bump, stop her from taking the wheel.
