After twelve years of dating, these pizza-lovers understandably wanted to make their wedding a day they would never forget. So when it came time to plan their Miami bash, Jessica Melara and Tony Sanchez veered from tradition and crafted their big day with plenty of personality — and plenty of 'za and baseball, y'all.

"Tony and I love pizza and aren't huge fans of cake, so we surprised our guests with pizza cake," Melara told Wedding Chicks. "It was saucy and delicious and what pizza dreams are made of."

The greasy, four-tiered masterpiece took a total of three chefs to haul out to center stage, because not all good things in life come easy, right? Instead of smashing a piece of vanilla buttercream in his new wife's face, Sanchez happily hoisted a slice of pepperoni 'za into her mouth, creating the most epic first bite as husband and wife that we've ever seen.

While we could talk about steaming hot pizza all day long, there were other adorable details in this couple's wedding day that just cannot go unnoticed. Like can we please talk about their oh-so-cute escort "cards"? Each guest was able to take home a mini baseball + bat keychain written with their name and table number on it. Presh!

"Since Tony plays professional baseball, we had to have a few 'nods' to our life in the world of baseball," Melara said in the Wedding Chicks article. "Instead of escort cards, we used mini baseball bat keychains, the beverage napkins had baseball references with quotes like 'Game Over' and 'Fits Like a Glove', and of course we had Cracker Jack boxes available with the desserts after dinner. We even had guests leave their 'autograph' on authentic Major League bats that we will keep forever."

You could say Sanchez and Melara kept their wedding close in line with who they are as a couple, and we couldn't be more excited for their future marriage together. Here's to many more kisses and a LOT more pizza!
