Every fairy-tale wedding needs a Prince Charming. But this one? It had a prince of honor! Dancing With the Stars pros Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy just tied the knot in a storybook ceremony on Saturday, July 8, that featured a castle venue, a Cinderella-esque ball gown, and their young son adorably taking on an extra-special role. Yes, prince of honor! The tiny tot donned an adorable all-white outfit and was right there to witness his parents' I do's. And mom Peta Murgatroyd just shared a sweet snapshot from her little one's big day.
Less than two weeks ago, Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy wed in Long Island, New York, at Oheka Castle, a sprawling estate with major fairy-tale vibes. After the I do's, and the reception, the fun continued the following day with a post-wedding pool party at Brooklyn's McCarren Hotel. But the couple's ceremony was definitely the main event, in part thanks to the bride's frothy ball gown featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline, a fitted bodice, and a voluminous gathered skirt. A number of DWTS pros and alums also made their way down the aisle as bridesmaids and groomsmen, including Val Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, Rumer Willis, and Sharna Burgess. But the newlyweds' seven-month-old son, Shai, was definitely the MVP of this wedding party with his fancy title and adorbs outfit.
In celebration of her 31st birthday last week, Murgatroyd took to Instagram to post a photo of the best part of her day—her son—all dressed up in his wedding-day garb from the week prior.
"M Y L I G H T," the DWTS pro captioned the sweet snapshot of herself and Shai at her nuptials. "My eternal love. Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy, on my birthday there is nothing more that I want than to be with you."
How adorable! No doubt this little one totally stole the spotlight from the bride on the big day. (We're sure she didn't mind!)
