It's no secret that planning a wedding is a lot of fun, but it's also one of the more stressful experiences you and your significant other will go through. You're likely being bombarded with so many great ideas that you can't quite figure out what you want for your big day. One of our favorite ways to learn what you love and what you don't is to see how another couple translated trending ideas into their own celebration. And our favorite way to do that? By watching real couples say I do in our real weddings video channel, which is packed with the sweetest love stories and plenty of inspiration to make your own. Each week we've been spotlighting one of our favorite new couples, and today we're taking you inside Tivoli and David's stunning fall wedding in Huntington, New York.
This adorable couple asked Pennylane Productions to join them at Oheka Castle for their October 4, 2014 nuptials. One of our favorite parts about this celebration is how incredibly positive both the bride and groom are — the pair booked the stunning estate for their wedding because they wanted to exchange vows in the beautiful outdoor garden, but when they woke up, rain was pouring. But in a stroke of luck, the sun came out and the happy groom made the call to move the ceremony back outdoors. And what a call it was! The bride walked down a long aisle to meet David in front of breathtaking fountains.
Another detail we love about this autumnal celebration is how the couple embraced bold color. Tivoli's bridesmaids donned deep plum-hued gowns while David and his groomsmen sported purple ties. They carried the palette into their ceremony, which was a total party atmosphere. The bride and groom made it a point to celebrate with their friends and family, keeping the dance floor packed all evening long.
No matter what type of wedding you're planning, there's no shortage of great ideas to take away from this spectacular celebration — from the gorgeous centerpieces to the sparkler exit, we're sure you'll be inspired for your big day after watching this pair say I do!
