We can add this celebrity engagement ring to the books for being extra unique! It turns out Nikki Reed, who recently said "yes" to a proposal from boyfriend and longtime friend Ian Somerhalder, has been rocking her, well, rock, for much longer than we thought — tricking us and simultaneously hiding her engagement ring all at the same time.
Wearing a diamond band to the Golden Globes, Nikki Reed sparked Hollywood Life's suspicion that the right-hand ring really symbolized her pending nuptials to the hunky Vampire Diaries star in disguise. Turns out, Glamour reports, that this morning, while on a jog in Athens, Greece, Reed switched the diamond band to her left finger, which, in our world, means all systems are a go and that this ring is, indeed, a super-unique engagement ring.

From the looks of the band that she wore to the Golden Globes, Reed's bling is a series of amorphous, round diamonds set all the way around in white gold. The one diamond in the center is the biggest, but not by a large measure. It's reminiscent of many popular indie ring designers like Polly Wales and Mociun.
Earlier this month sources told Hollywood Life that they spotted the couple cozying up at New Stone Age in Los Angeles while looking at similarly non-tradition engagement rings such as spliced, colored, and rough diamond styles.
We must admit: This is one engagement ring we can get behind. We love the idea of a band for an engagement ring if you're not the classic bride. If her ring is any indication Reed and Somerhalder's wedding will be full of cool, bohemian details.
