Celebrity weddings are always fun to hear about, especially when the stars let us in on the planning process. As much fun as a surprise wedding is, who doesn't love spending hours pouring over every little detail of your favorite celebrities' upcoming nuptials (ahem, guilty!). Although Iggy Azalea and her L.A. Laker fiancé Nick Young haven't said much on the wedding planning front, the basketball player has finally revealed what wedding planning with his rapper fiancé is really like.
"Whew, a nightmare in its own. I think we should go to the courthouse. [Laughs] It's tough, it takes a lot of time and compromising and arguing but eventually the women always win," Young told Billoard in an interview "I think [wedding days] should just be women's day." We can't say we're surprised to hear that Azalea wasn't on board with a courthouse wedding, an over-the-top affair definitely seems more her style!
Azalea and Young met through a friend in 2013 after the NBA star tweeted he had a crush on the rapper (aww!). Although the two have been happily together ever since, according to Azalea it definitely wasn't love at first sight. "I hated him," she joked to the Daily Telegraph. "I thought he was an arsehole." Yikes! Sounds like it wasn't the best first impression.

Azalea says she attended a pool party, and Young was there too with fellow NBA stars. "I came with all my friends, and I got in a taxi and left early because I felt like these guys are just arsehole basketball players," she admitted. When the two got together five years later they had been dating for eight months before realizing they had crossed paths before. "When I figured it out, I think I was already in love with him," she said. "So it worked out!"
It definitely worked out for the two who got engaged last June during the Laker's 30th birthday party. Young popped the question with a 10.43-carat yellow diamond ring that cost a whopping $500,000. "He [Young] was very meticulous and changed minor details on the design a few times until we both felt it was perfect. He was really determined to create the perfect ring for her," jeweler Jason Arasheben said of designing the bauble with Young. "We wanted it to be both a ring of Iggy's dreams and a ring that fit her personal style." After seeing pictures of the ring up close in a few Instagram pics, we think Young definitely nailed the whole "ring of her dreams" thing.
