We already knew that the "J Sisters"—a.k.a. Danielle Jonas, Priyanka Chopra and Sophie Turner—served as muses for their husbands Kevin, Nick and Joe Jonas thanks to the brother’s recent “Sucker” single, which featured all three ladies in its music video.
But now we know just how much their wives influenced their entire new album. There’s one song on the guys’ new album, Happiness Begins, which hits stores today, that’s an admitted open profession of love to Chopra, 36, straight from her spouse. "This song is a love letter to my wife," Nick confirmed in the album's editor notes on Apple Music. "I'm so excited to play it on tour.”
Joe, 29, revealed that the tune was on repeat during Nick's pre-wedding celebrations. “We listened to it a lot on your bachelor party," he wrote in the notes. "It sounds even better by the beach."
"It does," Nick conceded. "So try that."
The tune, called “I Believe,” is all about a relationship that moves at the speed of light.
“Well, call me crazy / And people saying that we move too fast / But I've been waiting, and for a reason / Ain’t no turning back,” the singer, 26, croons on the track’s pre-chorus.
He then launches into the hook, belting, “'Cause you show me something I can't live without / I believe, I believe, I believe / When you hold me, it's like Heaven coming down.”
The lyrics certainly ring some bells as far as Chopra and Nick’s relationship timeline goes: The twosome got engaged in July 2018 after just two months of dating!
The song’s intro is even more telling: “Every night, every day; how about every lifetime? / Yeah, I know what they say, and that's fine / 'Cause I'm here to stay through the good and the bad times / Babe, you send me to space and you're mine, yeah.”
As fans of the pair know, the couple did indeed follow through on their commitment shortly after their engagement, throwing an epic three-day wedding ceremony in India that kicked off on December 1, 2018.
According to Nick, he didn’t need much time to connect with his bride, as they clicked over their shared values right away. "I can go into all of it and get all mushy, but I think the thing that really connected both of us is our love for family and faith and the importance of being connected to those that are always going to be there for you,” he said during a Today show appearance in September 2018. “We found that in each other as well, which is a beautiful thing and I'm excited to start our lives together."
The actress felt the same, telling E! News one month later,“ We've known each other for a couple of years but we dated for just a little while. But I think that's the one thing we really connect on is our love for family and knowing faith is so important to us."
Needless to say, the track has a predictably happy ending: “Doesn't matter anymore, now I got you here with me / Nothing matters any longer, now I got you here with me," the band sings.
Nick wasn't the only one getting sappy on the LP, either: Joe, who wed Sophie Turner in a quickie Las Vegas ceremony in May, penned his own ode to the Game of Thrones alum with "Hesitate." "This is an important song," he wrote in the editor's notes. "I wrote it for my significant other, Sophie, and it’s one of those love letters that you write to your partner saying, ‘I'll be there no matter what.’”
"Kiss the tears right off your face / Won't get scared, that's the old, old, old me / I'll be there time and place," Joe sings to his bride. "I will take your pain / And put it on my heart / I won't hesitate / Just tell me where to start / I thank the oceans for giving me you / You saved me once and now I'll save you too / I won't hesitate for you."
Turner, 23, has been open about her struggles with depression and how Joe has helped her through it.
As she told Daily Mail in April: “I feel much better. I’ve been doing therapy at cast centers, I’m on medication, and I love myself now or more than I used to I think. I don’t think I loved myself at all. I'm now with someone that makes me realize, you know, that I do have some redeeming qualities, I suppose, and when someone tells you they love you every day, it makes you really think about why that is, and I think it makes you love yourself a bit more.”
Prepare to have this album on repeat.
