It's finally official! After a few weeks of speculation, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have confirmed their engagement. On Saturday, the two took to their Instagram accounts to gush over each other via social media, and we are so here for it.
“Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love,” Jonas, 25, wrote along side a shot of he and his fiancé in an embrace. Chopra shared the same photo to her account, writing “Taken.. With all my heart and soul,” next to the photo.
In late July, news broke of the couple's engagement, but the two left everyone wondering. Though they didn't explicitly reveal they were engaged until now, rumors emerged that Jonas had apparently shut down an entire Tiffany & Co. store just to find Chopra the perfect engagement ring. Oh and that ring? It reportedly set the Joe Bro back a cool $200,000. Casual.
The couple are currently in Mumbai, where Jonas's parents will meet Chopra's parents and celebrate their engagement. An anonymous source previously told Mumbai-based Daily News and Analysis that the couple's families would be meeting for the first time at their (rumored) engagement party on Saturday. "Priyanka has sent out messages to close friends and family members to set aside time on August 18 for a party," the source said. "It's exactly a month after her birthday and those close to the Quantico actress feel that she may make an official announcement about her relationship status at the bash.
However, the venue of the do has been kept under wraps."
Chopra recently shared an Instagram post with a series of shots from the affair, writing in a caption, "he only way to do this... with Family and God. Thank you all for your wishes and blessings," alongside a handful of emojis.
Chopra included a handful of photos from the celebration (known as a roka ceremony) including the new couple with her mother Madhu, her brother Siddharth, and Jonas’ parents Denise and Kevin, Sr. all smiling together in front of a sign that reads “NP," for Nick and Priyanka.
The photos also show the two in a Hindu prayer ceremony, where they both wore traditional Indian attire. According to Indian newspaper The Hindu, a priest preformed rituals, and asked the gods to bless the couple and let them live a happy life together.
The two have not yet released any further details of their big day, but we can't wait to see what the future Mr. and Mrs. Jonas have in store for us!
