We asked bridal gown designer Monique Lhuillier for her expert tips on shopping for a wedding dress and for a mother-of-the-bride/groom gown. Here's what she had to say:
What are some of the latest trends in wedding gowns regarding silhouette, embellishments, colors, etc...?

__Your eveningwear collection has been seen on the red carpet as well as at formal affairs. What are some tips you can give to mothers-of-the-bride and groom when they are shopping for a formal gown for their child's wedding? __
Pieces need to be very special. I think it's about wearing the right color for your skin tone, not just wearing pastels. Silks chiffons, silk tulles...stay away from black.
