Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's love story is definitely one for the books. Their onscreen romance quickly turned into an offscreen love, and despite recent breakup rumors, it looks like their relationship is as strong as ever. On Tuesday, Cyrus squashed the fictitious claims with a series of anniversary tweets for her beau.
"Happy 10 year anniversary my love," tweeted the musician. "Good to see everyone is as dumb as they were in 2009! Some things never change .... & I hope the way you feel about me is one of them. You’re truly." The tweet also featured a screenshot of Gossip Cop's ranking of the pair's split rumors as fact or fiction.
In another tweet, Cyrus shared more kind words about her husband alongside two throwback photos of the couple on the set of The Last Song, where they first met. "Started diggin you in 2009 @LiamHemsworth Sh*t got deep 💍 Happy anniversary," wrote the star.
Over the past 10 years, the couple has definitely been through ups and downs in their relationship. Hemsworth originally proposed to Cyrus with a cushion-cut diamond ring in 2012, but the couple later split in 2013. After a few years apart, Cyrus confirmed she and Hemsworth were back together when she posted a Valentine's Day snap of her ring on Instagram in 2017. The couple officially tied the knot in December 2018 during an intimate at-home ceremony following months of rumored secret weddings.
In 2009, the singer even predicted her happy marriage to Hemsworth during an interview with Glamour. When asked where she would like to be in 10 years, the then 16-year-old told the magazine, "Hopefully I’ll be settled: making movies, living in a house, maybe even married."
Based on today, it looks like she is right where she wanted to be!
