Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has some big wedding planning decisions to make. The Jersey Shore star, who proposed to his college sweetheart Lauren Pesce in April, still has to pick a best man.
"I haven't chosen a best man yet. But that day is coming soon," he told Entertainment Tonight's Katie Krause. We imagine it won’t be an easy choice between his cast mates Vinny Guadagnino, Pauly D and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro —luckily, Guadagnino has a solution.“You're going to need three best men," he said. (Obvi.)
In response, Sorrentino said he's "going to sit some of these guys down very soon and we will [decide]."
Regardless of who The Situation chooses, his cast mates just want him to be happy. "Whatever he wants. We love this guy," Guadagnino said. And while Pauly D would be "honored" to stand beside his friend, he plans on taking his place behind the DJ booth.
"Two roles: a DJ and the best man! I'm good," he joked.
In addition to finalizing the wedding party, Sorrentino and Pesce are in full-on wedding planning mode. The Situation told ET they have done a cake tasting and looked at a number of venues. "But so far the best thing has been the cake testing," he said. "We're thinking about having two cakes. One for the wedding and one funfetti cake for the groom."
As for the location, The Situation tossed around the idea of a destination wedding. Where you ask? "In the mother country, Italy," Sorrentino said.
"Mike and I have always, always wanted to do a destination wedding with our close family and friends," Pesce told People back in May. "Our dream was always to go to the motherland and get married in Italy and have it be an experience with the people closest to us—our immediate family, his closest friends from the cast. But now that we’re getting down to actually planning it, I think we’re going to try to do the best of both worlds and hopefully we’ll be able to that with family and friends, and then we’ll be able to have a big reception and celebration in New Jersey—you know, Italian-American style, with the whole family and every acquaintance to celebrate."
Sorrentino confirmed that fans can catch some their wedding-planning process and the full boardwalk proposal on future episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
"I always dreamed of doing a proposal on Jersey Shore, and for years we didn't have Jersey Shore," Sorrentino said. "So when it came back to the forefront and everyone was going, I was like, 'You know what? I'm going to do it.' And finally I was able to do it. My best friends were all there. We did it in such a big way…It is so dope. I'm so excited for everyone to see it."
