It's a morning television romance!

Morning Joe hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough celebrated their engagement on Thursday in New York City at Morning Joe contributor Steve Rattner’s Fifth Avenue apartment, and the guest list was anything but average.

Some of their attendees included CBS anchor Gayle King, former Secretary of State John Kerry, and Martha Stewart, who showed up together and were photographed outside the apartment. In addition, New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio, Reverend Al Sharpton and fashion editor André Leon Talley stopped by the party to congratulate the happy couple.

And what party would be complete without a clown Donald Trump impersonator? According to Page Six, the party's entertainment for the evening was a professional impersonator of the president, considering his personal involvement in the couple's relationship. After their engagement in May, Trump offered to marry the couple and suggested they tie the knot at Mar-a-Lago or the White House. (Which is ironic, considering how often he would attack the two on Twitter.)

The couple got engaged in May when the two flew to the South of France and Monaco to celebrate Brzezinski's 50th birthday. Little did she know, however, that Morning Joe had a little something extra up his sleeve planned. Scarborough popped the question at Bar Bellini at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes. "Halfway up the hill, he said he needed to sit down," Brzezinski told Vanity Fair. "We hadn't been feeling well, so I thought, 'Oh, poor guy, he can't make it up the hill.' His glasses were fogging up he was so nervous. I kept thinking he really must not have felt well."

But thankfully it was only Scarborough's nerves, and he eventually got down on one knee and proposed. "When I saw him on one knee, I started laughing nervously, almost hysterically," she said. "And then he asked, and I said, 'Absolutely.'"
