Michelle Williams waited a few weeks to reveal, in her September 2018 cover interview with Vanity Fair, that she'd married musician Phil Elverum, so it only makes sense that she'd wait several more weeks after that to unveil her wedding band. The new bling made its public debut on Monday, when Williams attended the Venom premiere in Los Angeles, People reports.
The ring appears to be a simple, slim band made of either silver or platinum, and was the only piece of jewelry Williams had on for the red carpet event. It perfectly complemented the floor-length Louis Vuitton gown she wore, which was covered in a sparkly silver design, and featured delicate white lace at the hips and along the sleeves and plunging V-neck.
Though Williams and Elverum were spotted taking a walk together last week, their first joint appearance since she broke the news of their marriage, her ring wasn't visible in any paparazzi shots from the outing published by People. The duo did, however, look extremely happy together, holding hands and flashing huge smiles while walking and talking together.
In the Vanity Fair interview, Williams revealed that she and Elverum had plans to marry before its late July publish date. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in the Adirondacks, surrounded by only a few friends and their daughters. Williams called her relationship with the singer-songwriter "very sacred and very special." "I never gave up on love," she said. "Obviously I've never once in my life talked about a relationship, but Phil isn't anyone else. And that's worth something. Ultimately the way he loves me is the way I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside of the moment...I am finally loved by someone who makes me feel free."
