Just when you thought the Obamas couldn't get any cuter as a couple, former first lady Michelle Obama dedicated her Valentine's Day playlist to president emeritus Barack. Her Instagram post about the playlist gave us major #relationshipgoals even before we pressed play.
We already know the Obamas have great taste in music—as evidenced by Barack's "best of 2017" playlist—but Michelle has outdone herself with this one. She starts out strong, with Andra Day's 'Forever Mine', Ben E. King's 'Stand by Me', and Etta James' 'At Last' back to back. One beautiful contemporary track and two classics.
She continues with a similar ratio throughout the 44-track playlist, with songs as old as Barry White's 'Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Baby' and as new as last year's Kendrick Lamar track 'LOVE' (which landed on the Brides Best Love Songs of 2017 playlist). The music also ranges from soul (a lot of it) and R&B to country and indie rock. There's definitely something for everyone on here.
Barack didn't get completely shown up on the day of love, though. He tweeted a sweet snapshot of the two of them with the caption, "Happy Valentine’s Day, @MichelleObama. You make every day and every place better." Brb, swooning.
It's safe to say the Obamas are celebrating 25 years of love and life together. Meanwhile, we'll be blasting Michelle's Valentine's Day playlist on repeat all day.
