Meghan Markle may not be wearing Kate Middleton’s tiara or opting for a similarly over-the-top dress, but there is one way she'll be copying her soon-to-be sister-in-law on the day of her royal wedding to Prince Harry: by doing her own makeup.
According to British newspaper The Express, Markle has opted not to work with a professional makeup artist (despite the fact that Kim Kardashian's makeup artist, Mario Dedianovic, was campaigning for the gig) and instead has two friends from America doing it for her. "They’re not professionals—just close friends of hers.” They are reportedly coming to stay at Windsor Castle before the wedding, "where they will be put up in the staff accommodations."
As for what Markle’s wedding-day glam will look like, that information is still as much under wraps as the designer of her wedding gown and which tiara she’ll wear once she says “I do.” The actress’s former makeup artist, Lydia Sellers, speculates it will be something similar to her usual, understated everyday glam—or, as Meghan Markle calls it, her "five minute face."
"Natural, dewy-looking skin, with her freckles peeking through, a sheer pink lip and a daytime smoky eye with beautiful volume in her lashes," Sellers told People of her best guess for what look Markle would probably go for. As for her hair, we're willing to bet she'll be rocking one of her signature messy buns underneath her freshly earned tiara.
Considering how steady Markle's hand is when applying makeup in the back of an Uber, there's no doubt that she'll be able to give herself a seriously royal glam look on the morning of May 19th...especially when she has her friends there for moral (and brush wielding) support.
