With almost exactly two months until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding (cue excited cheers), it's about time we started getting some clues about who's lucky enough to make the guest-list cut. So far, all five members of the Spice Girls are rumored to attend (and hopefully perform). The couple also announced they want to include 2,640 members of the public in their big day. (Can we come!?) While we're still left wondering which other A-listers will land royal wedding invites, it seems like Markle's former Suits costars might be getting some stationery from the queen in the mail pretty soon.
While no one from the cast of the television drama has received an actual invitation (that we know of), a source confirmed to Hello! magazine that Markle's costars and the show's key executives will get to "Suit" up for the wedding. "The cast has been contacted in regards to invites from Kensington Palace," the source revealed. The insider also added that Priyanka Chopra, Serena Williams, and Suits actress Abigail Spencer are also highly likely to land seats on the guest list. Before Markle deleted her social-media accounts, her Instagram proved her close relationship off-screen with Spencer, who might even make the cut as royal bridesmaid.
Although becoming royalty means Markle has to bid farewell to her acting career, she has starred on Suits as Rachel Zane since 2011. Considering the former actress most likely garnered tight friendships with the rest of the cast and crew, it's no surprise these lucky individuals will get to take part in her big day. In fact, the seemingly close-knit team even used code words to refer to Prince Harry when the pair started dating to keep their private relationship under wraps.
Another costar, Markle's character's father, played by Wendell Pierce, shared the Suits love after Markle and Harry's engagement announcement, sending his best wishes via Twitter. We hope Pierce gets to see his TV daughter walk down the aisle both on set and off.
As for Markle's grand Suits exit at the end of the show's eighth season, which returns March 28, the 36-year-old might get to walk down the aisle before her IRL wedding. A new trailer for the paralegal drama hinted at a wedding between Markle and her on-screen fiancé, played by Patrick J. Adams. Adams also tweeted after Markle's engagement went public, joking that she left him for a quick milk run.
Looks like working alongside Meghan Markle has its perks, and we could not be more excited (read: jealous) for her Suits family to trek across the pond for the May 19 royal wedding.
