Details about what Meghan Markle will wear on her wedding day are being kept under lock and key for the next month, but we may have just gotten a hint as to how her hair will be styled. This week, celebrity hairstylist Miguel Perez confirmed that he will be handling Markle's coif on May 19.
"We have talked about [the wedding] and we have a plan," the Spanish-born stylist told The Mail. "I can't say any more, but we know what we're doing."
Not only is the news the latest information we have about the soon-to-be royal's wedding day look, but it also comes with an epic celebrity backstory: Perez is also Amal Clooney's hairstylist, and it's the British-Lebanese lawyer who connected Perez with Markle. "Yes, I do Meghan's hair," Perez explained to The Mail. "I do Amal's, and Meghan is friends with her. I also do George [Clooney]'s, I do the whole family. Amal put Meghan and me together when she moved here [to London]. I do her color, her cut, and her styling."
Perez currently works at Salon Sloane in Chelsea, London (where even non-royals can book an appointment!), and reportedly charges around $250 for a cut and blow dry and $210 for event hair, per Entertainment Tonight. Judging by Amal's affection for a voluminous blowout and Old Hollywood waves, it seems likely that Markle will opt to keep her hair down for the big day. However, the former Suits actress has also garnered attention for her now-signature messy bun, so perhaps she and Perez will surprise guests with a more polished updo.
No matter what Markle decides for the big day, her friends Amal and George Clooney will be there to support both the new couple and their shared hairstylist.
