While some bridal ensembles are often relegated to the back of the closet post–wedding day, Meghan Markle has smartly found a way to recycle elements of her own wedding-day look. Over the weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex went to the wedding of Prince Harry's cousin, Celia McCorquodale, and George Woodhouse, and Markle brought along a tiny piece of her own nuptials. While her Oscar de la Renta dress, Marks & Spencer fascinator, and Carolina Herrera clutch were all new, her shoes were the same pair of bespoke white Aquazzura heels she changed into for her reception to accompany her Stella McCartney gown—at least according to blog Meghan's Mirror. (Photos of both events seem to support this theory.)
Because the shoes were custom-made (and with a blue sole for her "something blue," Yahoo reported), you won't find them anywhere if you'd like to wear them to a wedding (royal or otherwise) of your own. According to Meghan's Mirror, the closest pair is Aquazzura's Silver Nappa Leather Mesh Studded Pumps, which feature a similar mesh design and the same designer, Edgardo Osorio. Sadly, those are sold out online, but the black leather Sarah Flint pumps she wore on her trip with the Queen are still up for grabs.
Markle isn't the only royal who's recycled a look from her own wedding. Back in 2016, Kate Middleton wore her bridal earrings to the annual Garter Day Service at Windsor Castle. Trading in her white Alexander McQueen gown and tiara for a red Catherine Walker coat and matching fascinator, she offset the bespoke Robinson Pelham earrings with a similarly sparkly necklace. Which just goes to show, if it's good enough for Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, it's good enough for you. You can even dust off your wedding dress for another spin, as long as it's not at someone else's wedding.
