Meghan Markle Wore a New Eternity Ring for Son Archie

There was no sign of baby Archie at this year’s Trooping the Colour parade, but Meghan Markle still found a way to keep her little one close to her heart.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, reportedly gave a subtle nod to her newborn during her first post-baby appearance that only the most observant of fans were wise to.

The Suits alum paired a navy frock from Givenchy’s artistic director Clare Waight Keller—the same designer behind Meghan’s gown for her May 2018 wedding to Prince Harry—and a matching Noel Stewart fascinator with what appeared to be an eternity ring.

The delicate piece, which looked to be a simple pavé diamond band, joined the former actress’ Cleave and Company engagement ring and her wedding band on her left ring finger.

The new addition was just visible when Meghan raised her hand to wave to the crowd from her place in a carriage alongside Harry, 34, and across from Kate Middleton and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

As People pointed out, eternity bands, like the one Kate, 37, reportedly received from Prince William after the birth of their first child, Prince George, are common ways to mark important milestones in a woman’s life.

As Meghan gave birth to the newest member of the royal family on May 6, it would make sense if the band was a push present from her spouse. Then again, the publication noted that it also could have been a one-year anniversary present—the royal couple celebrated their anniversary on May 19.

Meghan and her ring weren’t the only ones making a debut at the parade—Kate and William’s youngest son, Prince Louie, also showed off for the crowd on the balcony for the first time next to mom Kate, brother Prince George, sister Princess Charlotte and Camilla, 71.

According to the Sussex Royal Instagram page, Trooping the Colour is performed by regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies in honor of the Queen’s birthday of April 21 each year.
