Unsurprisingly, pieces from several of Meghan Markle's go-to clothing designers have made appearances in the expectant mother's maternity style thus far. Most recently, though, the loyal brand enthusiast gave a subtle nod to her May royal wedding by sporting looks from both of her dress designers, Givenchy and Stella McCartney, within the same day. Déjà vu, much?
Rounding out the last leg of Meghan's official overseas tour with Prince Harry in New Zealand, the Duchess of Sussex first flaunted a custom blue Givenchy skirt and sweater combo which she paired with matching Manolo Blahnik heels and her signature messy bun. According to the Daily Mail, the ensemble for her Rotorua outing, complete with multi-colored pleats and elbow-length sleeves, is estimated to be worth approximately $2,819. Markle called on the French label's British artistic director, Clare Waight Keller, to design her iconic, minimalist wedding gown, which she donned during the ceremony and for the official wedding portraits.
Switching things up later in the day for a visit to Te Papaiouru Marae, Meghan kept the same heels, but traded her Givenchy look for a tasteful navy Stella McCartney number (coincidence that she wore the designers in the same order as her wedding?). According to royal reporter Omid Scobie via Twitter, the Duchess of Sussex also donned a "Maōri-style New Zealand jade necklace" and was gifted a traditional Korowai robe, which represents “strength, warmth and aroha [love]”. Daily Mail reports that this frock runs for a cool £2,159, the equivalent of about $2,754. British-based designer McCartney lent her talents to create Meghan's evening wedding reception look—a halter-neck, fitted sleeveless gown (that has since spawned plenty of lookalikes).
Also worth noting, Meghan's manicure looks highly familiar, and she may or may not also be re-wearing her nail polish color from the big day, which is believed to be Essie's "Ballet Slipper" hue. So many royal wedding flashbacks!
Speaking of Meghan's wedding fashion, the Duchess of Sussex's Givenchy gown just went on display at Windsor Castle, so fans can catch an IRL glimpse of the regal ensemble until January.
