For those of you on incessant royal baby watch ever since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their pregnancy last October, then you've come to the right place. In honor of the tot's upcoming arrival (mark your calendars for April, people!), we gathered all the public intel on the tiniest new addition to the royal fam. While the future doting parents have remained relatively tight-lipped on everything from names to sex, we have several sources, royal experts, and even a very honest pregnant Meghan to thank for curbing our baby craze before the infant's spring arrival. With only two (!!!) months left until Baby Sussex's arrival, read up on everything we know so far about the mini royal.
The Due Date
When the Palace initially broke the pregnancy news just four months ago, the press release originally stated that the Duchess of Sussex would give birth spring 2019. Thankfully, though, Meghan spilled some major beans last months while visiting Birkenhead, Merseyside, informing two crowd members that she was six months along at the time and due in April.
The Baby's Sex
Mere moments after Meghan's due date slip, she dropped yet another royal baby bomb to a lucky bystander that same day: she wants to keep the baby's sex a surprise. According to Glamour, though, this actually aligns with royal tradition, which advises expecting parents to hold off on discovering their child's sex before the due date. Every parent would be lying, though, if they said they didn't have a preference, and Harry actually hinted that he's hoping for a baby girl during his and Meghan's official Australian tour last year.
The Godparents
So far, we know that one close pal of the couple's, fellow new parent George Clooney, is officially a no-go after sadly denying claims himself. But, the special honor will likely have multiple spots up for grabs—Meghan and Harry's nephews and niece Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have a whopping 18 godparents between the three of them. Time will tell who the parents-to-be choose to fill the roles for their own child. For what it's worth, Will and Kate had a tendency to turn toward longtime friends and extended family members over immediate relatives.
The Nursery
Nursery design has been well underway for Frogmore Cottage, the recluse Windsor property where the Sussex fam plans to set up shop and raise their child. But, given the infant's unknown sex, don't expect to see any pink or blue decor. In fact, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl via Vanity Fair, Meghan and Harry have a modern, neutral color scheme in mind. "Apparently, it's going to be a monochrome palette—whites and grays, I'm told, will be the color theme for baby Sussex's nursery," Nicholl explains. And everything will reportedly be eco-friendly!
The Help
Nicholl further notes via Vanity Fair that Meghan and Harry have decided against a nanny. However, the royal expert adds that Doria Ragland, Meghan's mother, is expected to help manage the baby load and will even take up residence in her own room within the couple's Windsor residence.
The Birth Plan
Sources indicate that an au naturel, at-home delivery may be in store for the royal babe. "Meg wants a natural birth if she can have one," an insider confirmed, per Vanity Fair. "Her mother is very into anything that is holistic and natural, and having been brought up with yoga and mindfulness, it’s all very much part of Meghan’s birth plan." Another pregnancy fad, hypno-birthing, also stands as an option, which is a meditative-like process that focuses on breathing patterns and relaxation.
The Name
Ever the considerate folks, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex let their friends and family weigh in on any potential monikers, telling well-wishers on their Australia visit last October that they've "been given a long list of names from everyone" and are "going to sit down and have a look at them." Naturally, oddsmakers have had a field day since the pregnancy news, placing top bets on Albert, Arthur, and Philip for a boy or Diana, Victoria, and Alice for a girl.
If the couple does welcome a daughter, there's a high chance her name may start with "M." Meghan previously revealed to Hello! in 2015 that she's been holding onto a Cartier French Tank watch, engraved with the message "To M.M. From M.M," to gift her future baby girl. For now, though, the expecting parents are content with calling their offspring "Little Bump."
The Title
Unlike the future royal infant's elder cousins (and presumed playmates), Meghan and Harry's child likely won't earn the label of prince or princess. You can thank King George V for this, who, according to the Evening Standard, decided way back in 1917 that only the king and queen's children or male-lineage grandchildren get to claim the honor. Although, based on the ruling, Prince George technically should have been Will and Kate's only descendant to receive the title, but the Standard adds that Queen Elizabeth issued a Letters Patent to extend further prince or princess status to the rest of their children. That's not to say she might do the same for Harry's offspring, as well.
Alternatively, a male royal tot would pick up one of the extra titles that the Queen bestowed on the Duke of Sussex following his marriage, like Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel. A female heir, on the other hand, would simply receive the precedent "Lady" before her name. As for last name, members of the royal fam go by Mountbatten-Windsor. Although, given its extensive length, many have actually replaced the mouthful with their parents' titles. For example, William and Harry chose the last name Wales after their father, Prince of Wales, and Prince George has reportedly stayed true to his own father's title, referring to himself as George Cambridge. Keeping in line with the pattern, the next royal baby would add Sussex to his/her credentials.

The Babymoon
Royals especially need some R&R before welcoming an infant addition, and it's believed that the soon-to-be parents embarked on a secret NYE vacation before Meghan hit her third trimester.
