If you thought Prince Harry and Meghan Markle couldn't be any cuter together, you've got another thing coming—and you should probably prepare yourself for the inevitable decades of increasingly more adorable moments between the newlyweds. The duo kicked off their post-wedding, pre-honeymoon tour of wedded bliss on Tuesday, when they attended the 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration for Harry's father, Prince Charles, at the Buckingham Palace Gardens.
At the event, Meghan and Harry proved that they're still riding high from their lavish royal wedding when they showed some sweet PDA after Harry had finished paying tribute to his dad with a funny speech. While walking up some stairs into the palace, the new Duchess of Sussex let go of her husband's arm to give him a flirty little back rub, from his shoulder to his lower back, as seen in a video posted by the Daily Mail's royal correspondent on Twitter. As Cosmopolitan pointed out, this kind of cutesy behavior is yet another way that Meghan is shaking up royal tradition; Prince William and Kate, Prince Charles and Camilla, and Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip all rarely engage in PDA, with the women of the royal family only occasionally holding on to their husbands' arms while walking together, if anything.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, on the other hand, have never held back from outwardly expressing their love for each other. Way back in October, before they announced their engagement, Meghan and Harry were spotted holding hands, leaning on each other, and—gasp!—kissing at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games. In recent months, as Meghan began joining Harry on royal outings, they often held hands and were unable keep their eyes off each other while greeting well-wishers. And on Saturday, the lovebirds couldn't stop holding hands, gazing into each other's eyes, and stealing kisses throughout their wedding ceremony and subsequent carriage procession throughout Windsor.
Clearly, the young royals' PDA parade is steadily marching on.
