So much for Pippa Middleton's "no ring, no bring" policy—kinda. Prince Harry's girlfriend, Meghan Markle, is set to attend his sister-in-law's upcoming wedding to financier James Matthews, according to a source over at People. But, there's a bit of a catch to Markle's attendance.
While the actress won't be able to attend the ceremony, she will be at her beau's side during the reception, which tends to be a bit less formal. Under Pippa's strict policy, which prohibits unmarried or non-engaged couples from attending the nuptials, Markle is able to attend only the big bash shortly after. Looks like this couple is getting veryyyy serious.
The royal bride-to-be decided to enforce this policy after Harry attended his friend Tom "Skippy" Inskip's wedding with the actress as his date. Due to all the hoopla surrounding the couple, all eyes were on Markle during the ceremony—not the bride. "She saw how all eyes were on Meghan rather than Lara last week," a friend of Middleton previously told the Daily Mail. "The situation was also stressful for Harry. Pippa and her mother, Carole, wonder whether Meghan’s presence could cause a great deal of unnecessary chaos."
Well, it looks like the rules were bent just a tad for Harry and his lady love.
The countdown to Pippa's wedding has officially begun. She is set to wed Matthews on May 20, 2017, at the Saint Marks Englefield in Berkshire, and the reception will take place at Carole and Michael Middleton's home in Buckleberry, where they will host quite the elegant bash.
Pippa enjoyed a hen party—that's Brit for bachelorette party—during a secret getaway in the French Alps. The royal, along with sis Kate Middleton and a few close gal pals, had a fun-filled weekend of skiing while lodging at a chalet located in Meribel, France.
"Pippa loves skiing so it was her first choice for a hen weekend," a friend of Pippa's told The Sun. "They stayed in a really exclusive catered chalet with maids and a chef, who ensured that they were totally spoiled."
