Meghan Markle is proof that you can serve pure glamour even in maternity wear. The Duchess of Sussex attended a royal celebration in honor of Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday—and her look was so good.
Meghan paired a brocade silver and gold maternity dress with an Amanda Wakeley piece that she's worn before (she chose the cream Crombie coat for her first formal engagement as a member of the Royal Family on Commonwealth Day). She accessorized the metallic-on-white outfit with a Wilbur & Gussie clutch that she had taken to the Prince of Wales's Royal Garden Party last spring and threw on a pair of beige pumps by Paul Andrew. She also wore gold Maison Birks bar earrings and a simple gold cuff.
The getup is so chic, we could see it working perfectly at a bridal shower or engagement ceremony. The metallic and white combo would be a classy yet modern twist on bridal traditions.
Of course, Markle's event was a little more formal: She was celebrating the 50th anniversary Prince Charles formally being named the Prince of Wales. The event was ultra-fancy and included an appearance by Kate Middleton in a flowing, pale-blue gown.
Markle has been keeping busy in the last few months of her pregnancy. She and Prince Harry recently got back from a trip to Morocco and then stepped out in London over the weekend to see a play. Between it all, Markle's given us some stunning fashion moments, like when she had a day out in a blue patterned Carolina Herrera dress. Of course, she's proven that she can also pull off amazing looks with more affordable pieces: We're still gagged over her how sophisticated she made a $35 H&M maternity dress look when she visited one of her royal patronages in London.
